Pritzker Military Foundation Invests In Future Female Security Leaders

The Pritzker Military Foundation and its founder, Lieutenant Colonel  Jennifer N. Pritzker (Retired), donated $12,000 to Girl Security, an organization that focuses on empowering girls, women and gender minorities to enter and advance in the national security sector. The grant will support its National Fellows Program. Additionally, the Pritzker Military Foundation has committed a $12K challenge grant through March 31, 2026.

“At Pritzker Military Foundation, we are committed to building a more inclusive and equitable future in the national security sector,” said LTC Jennifer Pritzker USA (RET). “Supporting Girl Security’s National Fellows Program aligns with our mission to empower the next generation of diverse leaders. We’re excited to contribute to this important work and proud to offer a challenge grant to inspire others to join us in expanding opportunities for girls, women, and gender minorities.”

Girl Security aims to build a diverse workforce of individuals who can lead responsible and equitable security outcomes. They achieve this through various programs, including workforce training, mentorship, and professional advancement opportunities. Girl Security works with mentees ages 14–26 from across the United States and its territories, pairing them with mentors from all sectors, experience levels, and regions who share similar interests. Girl Security also collaborates with partners across sectors to create more onramps into national security for underrepresented communities.

Girl Security’s National Fellows Program equips participants with the knowledge, skills, and networks to navigate national security pathways across government, business, technology, and more. Whether mentees are exploring fields like cybersecurity or artificial intelligence, or pursuing careers in civil service or business, the program supports a broad spectrum of interests. As the only youth-centered national security program in the country, the twelve-week program uniquely combines training in structured analytics with the development of critical thinking, communication, problem-solving and leadership skills.

"We are deeply grateful for the Pritzker Military Foundation's investment in our National Security Workforce Training Program and the lasting impact it will create for generations to come," said Lauren Buitta, Founder and CEO, Girl Security.

The Pritzker Military Foundation is a private foundation that accepts applications by invitation only. There is no open application period.
